Step-by-Step Installation Instructions

1. Download the ISO File

Use the link provided above to download the Windows Server 2012 Essentials ISO file to your computer.

2. Create Bootable Media

If you are installing on a physical server, you will need to create a bootable USB drive or DVD using the ISO file. Below are instructions for each option:

Creating a Bootable USB

Download a tool like Rufus or Microsoft’s Media Creation Tool.
Insert a USB drive with at least 8GB of space into your computer.
Open Rufus or the Media Creation Tool, select the ISO file you downloaded, and follow the prompts to create a bootable USB.

Creating a Bootable DVD

If your server has a DVD drive, you can burn the ISO file onto a blank DVD.
Right-click on the ISO file and select “Burn disc image” to create a bootable DVD.

3. Begin Installation

Once your bootable USB or DVD is ready, you can begin the installation process:

Insert the bootable USB or DVD into your server.
Restart the server and press the appropriate key to enter the boot menu (usually F12, Esc, or Del depending on the server).
Select the USB or DVD as the boot device and press Enter.
Follow the on-screen prompts to start the installation.

Installation Setup

Select your language, time, and keyboard preferences, then click Next.
Click Install Now to begin the installation process.
Choose the edition of Windows Server 2012 Essentials if prompted.
Follow the prompts to complete the installation.

4. Activation

Once installation is complete, you will need to activate Windows Server 2012 Essentials using your product key. You will receive the product key via email within 4 hours of this purchase confirmation. Here’s how to activate:

Go to Start > Control Panel > System and Security > System.
Click on Activate Windows.
Enter the product key sent in the email and follow the prompts to complete activation.
